Our internship presents students with an opportunity to gain practical work experience while working in a professional environment. At Frank, Rimerman + Co., our internship is truly a unique experience. Rather than having to select a line of service, such as audit or tax, each summer intern will have the opportunity to experience at least one week in each of our departments.

The internship will cover a variety of duties such as:

Work on audit engagements and develop an understanding of the audit process.

Compile financial statements following established formats.

Assist in the completion of SOX 404 projects.

Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, not- for-profit and corporate income tax returns.

Record transactions and process the information into accounting records and appropriate financial statements.

Prepare payroll, sales, property and other local tax forms.

Develop appropriate computer skills including standardized software applications (word processing, spreadsheet and time and charges), tax return processing, tax projection and financial statement trial balance software.

Throughout the internship, there are also a variety of social events that offer Interns a chance to meet and network with professionals from all offices and levels. Previous events have included luaus, bocce ball, San Francisco Giants game, paint ball, comedy shows, billiards and happy hours, and a dinner cruise on the San Francisco Bay.

To be considered for an internship position an applicant must meet the following requirements:

- Business Majors with emphasis in Accounting
- Graduating between 12/2009 – 8/2010
- 3.2 GPA Major & 3.0 Overall
