Financial Statement Services (Audits, Reviews and Compilations)
The core of our assurance and advisory services are traditional financial reporting engagements ranging from audits to compilations based on your objectives and the requirements of your creditors and investors. We feel

ERISA Plan Audits
Our specialized ERISA team serves many Bay Area privately-held and public companies. We
audit a broad range of ERISA plans including 401(k), profit sharing plans, and
ESOP's. Our ERISA service team assists plan administrators in building
a strong team of service providers to administer their plans. We also
perform diagnostic reviews of plan operations to improve efficiencies and
strengthen adherence to plan provisions and ERISA guidelines.
Mergers and Acquisitions
At some point most of our clients find themselves on one side or the other of potential acquisitions or sales. We can help you position yourself for an upcoming transition and are prepared to react quickly to help you evaluate opportunities and structure the deal to accomplish your business objectives in the most tax-efficient manner.
Not-for Profit and Governmental Grant Auditing
We take pride in our long-term relationships with many of our community's leading not-for-profit organizations. Our not-for-profit clients include health & welfare organizations, charitable foundations and membership associations. We are experienced in performing audits of government-funded programs in accordance with federal funding requirements.
We also specialize in auditing government grants from the National Institute for Standards in Technology (NIST), National Institute of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense (DARPA), which fund research at some of the Bay Area’s leading high-technology, biomedical and biotechnical companies. We have a knowledgeable team dedicated to auditing government grant awards received by public and privately-held businesses throughout the Bay Area. The team is headed by
Brian Kreischer. Team members are experienced in auditing government grants and familiar with the complexities of applying federal cost principles and adhering to government accounting and auditing standards. These professionals have the specialized continuing education hours required by the accounting profession and the United States government. We have provided many of our clients with guidance on implementation of accounting policies and procedures to meet the government requirements.
Professional Peer Review Program
Frank, Rimerman is a member in The Center for Public Company Audit Firms, a voluntary membership organization of the American Institute of CPA's. This voluntary membership requires adherence to rigorous quality control standards in our accounting and auditing practice and a review of our practice by our peers. Our Firm’s audit practice is reviewed by an independent public accounting firm every three years as part of the profession’s peer review program. As with previous peer reviews, our most recent peer review provided our Firm with the profession’s highest rating on the quality of our practice.
