Summer Internships
Our summer internship program provides practical work experience in a professional environment. Rather than selecting one line of service, each summer intern will experience at least one week in each of our departments.
The internship will cover a variety of duties such as:
- Working on audit engagements to provide an understanding of the audit process.
- Compiling financial statements following established formats.
- Assisting in the completion of SOX 404 projects.
- Preparing individual, fiduciary, partnership, not for profit and corporate income tax returns.
- Recording transactions and processing the information into accounting records and appropriate financial statements.
- Preparing payroll, sales, property, and other local tax forms.
- Developing appropriate computer skills, including standardized software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, time and charges), tax return processing, tax projection, and financial statement trial balance software.
Throughout the internship there are social events for summer interns to meet and network with professionals at all levels and from all offices. To be considered for an internship position an applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting or Tax
- Graduating from college between December 2011 and August 2012
- A 3.2 GPA in major and 3.0 overall
