Environment Mission

Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is working toward attaining Bay Area Green Business certification for its Northern California offices.

A Green Business is recognized as an environmental leader. It strengthens its bottom line through operating efficiencies, improves employee morale and the health of the workplace, and holds a marketing edge over its competition.

Frank, Rimerman is working on a number of initiatives to attain this certification, such as improved recycling in every office, energy audits, and finding ways to reduce paper use.

• Recycling: coming soon to all of our offices – an improved recycling protocol! Soon, all of our offices will be recycling paper, cans, bottles, and plastics in a more efficient manner. Composting efforts are also underway in our various locations, with St. Helena already in the works!
• Green Business Program: Frank, Rimerman is working toward attaining Bay Area Green Business certification for its Northern California offices.
• Measuring our Success: what will we measure to prove our success? Frank, Rimerman is establishing baseline measurements and methodologies for measuring our successes in sustainability efforts.

• Green the Meeting: we've made our Annual Meeting more environmentally friendly this year through the use of cloth napkins, having drinks in pitchers and eliminating bottled water and canned beverages, and encouraging carpooling and public transportation with a $50 raffle!
• Klean Kanteens and Elimination of Plastic Water Bottles: Frank, Rimerman's first sustainability initiative was to present every employee with a brand new Klean Kanteen and stop the use of plastic water bottles.
• Turning Off Computers and Lights: with a little extra effort, we are reducing Frank, Rimerman's energy usage. With everyone's help, we're making sure to turn off our computers and the lights before we leave the office each night.
